Eligibility Criteria

To gain access to our adult courses, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Are aged 19 years old or over (must have turned 19 by 31st August 2022)
  • Have lived in the UK or a European Economic Area (EEA) Member state for the last three years or are an Individual or Asylum Seeker with certain types of immigration status*
  • Are actively seeking employment and claiming an unemployment benefit** OR must be earning under £20,319 annual gross salary (for Maths and English you can earn any amount if you can commit to the course).

Level 1 Business Administration 

Ideal for those looking to learn the basics of the industry in order to secure employment such as an Admin Assistant or Receptionist. Entry level Business Admin roles are some of the most popular vacancies and so an industry specific qualification can really help you to stand out at interview. 

What will the course cover?

The qualification is made up of 5 topics, some of which include:

  • Using basic office equipment 
  • Creating business documents
  • Communication styles

What can I do next? 

Upon completion of your Level 1 Certificate you have a number of new opportunities: 

  • Complete your Level 2 Business Admin certificate

Level 2 Business Administration

This qualification assumes the learner already has foundation knowledge of the Administration industry from experience or previous study. It enables you to access progression opportunities as well as higher education. Business Administration is also ideal for anyone interested in exploring supporting events or project management. 

What will the course cover?

The qualification is made up of 7 topics, some of which include:

  • Document production and information management
  • Communication in a business evironment
  • Developing working relationships 
  • Execution of administrative tasks 

What can I do next? 

Upon completion of your Level 2 Certificate you have a number of new opportunities: 

  • Apply for a supervisor or similar role 
  • Apply for a Level 3 or 4 apprenticeship
  • Access A-Level or HNC qualifications which provide routes into various university degrees
