Well for Work
Well for Work is an ESF funded programme, delivered through Futures For You and our partners:
- Nottinghamshire County Council
- Derbyshire County Council
- Broxtowe Borough Council
- Gedling Borough Council
- Autism East Midlands
- Double Impact
- St Ann’s Advice Centre
- Inspirative Arts
The programme aims to support individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who are facing physical, mental and financial barriers which are preventing them from getting into work, helping them to overcome those barriers and feel confident going forward.
This includes people who:
- Are lone parents
- Are disabled or have health problems
- Are from ethnic minorities
- Are aged over 50
- Are not confident about their existing skills
Working with local businesses, we offer bespoke training to ensure people who are work-ready have the right skills for the job, and beyond. For those who aren’t ready to jump straight into work, individual support will be offered to develop confidence, skills and the ability to enter employment.
Our health-related partners will provide personalised support for those overcoming barriers including substance misuse, mental health issues, and musculoskeletal conditions. Well for Work also gives access to non-health related services such as housing support, financial advice and travel assistance.
We want to support people in being and feeling the best version of themselves.
The project has received £4,149,878 of funding from the European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The Department for Work and Pensions (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the Managing Authority for the England European Social Fund programme. Established by the European Union, the European Social Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations.
