    About the Role

     

    To provide care and support to vulnerable individuals living in their own homes within the community. To ensure support is carried out in a safe, effective, responsive, caring, way, that promotes person centered care and supporting independence and personal choice 

    Visiting individuals in their homes, providing, assistance with their daily living needs. These duties will include the following tasks. Although this list is not extensive. As everyone has their own personal needs and wishes.

    • Personal care - Assistance getting out of bed in a morning and into bed at evening, showering or washing, assistance with dressing, assistance with preparing meals, assistance with washing pots or laundry, light household duties, shopping duties, providing company, assisting with drinks, changing pads, catheter care, talking to relatives, assistance with medication ….
    • Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within Partners in Care (Nottingham) Limited
    • Treat everyone with dignity and respect
    • Complete all paperwork to a high standard
    • Ensure you can get from home to home, using either your own vehicle or public transport
    • Effective communication skills
    • Ensure effective time keeping and not being late for your calls
    • Support an open, honest, positive, and inclusive working culture
    • Team player and supporting others
    • Work to establish effective relationships
    • Ensure confidentiality is maintained
    • Professional Boundaries are upheld
    • Working over a 7-day week
    • Assist in the formulation and implementation of Care policies and procedures
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of Partners in Care (Nottingham) Limited
    • Ensure all individual’s rights are protected
    • Record all activities and changes in Care Plans, and report any changes back to the office
    • Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
    • To adhere to the Health & social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities 2010)
    • To adhere to the Care Quality Commission’s Essential Standards of Quality & Safety, to ensure a high standard of care is maintained
    • To familiarize yourself with all relevant Domiciliary Care Legislation
    • To report directly to the Registered Manager
    • To undertake duties as agreed, and keeping to the rotas you have agreed within the two-week timeframe.
    • You are required to work in accordance with Partners in Care (Nottingham) Limited Policies and Procedures
    • To act in professional manner as to promote the good name of the company.
    • To ensure the health and safety of individuals, yourself, and colleagues
    • To adhere to the individuals, care plan and to read the care plan before starting any care
    • To abide by risk assessments
    • To submit all time sheets and any corresponding documentation to Partners in Care (Nottingham) Limited
    • To assist the individual with all activities detailed within their care plan.
    • To document and communicate any change in needs of an individual to one of the management team immediately
    • To attend all mandatory training as and when needed.
    • To report any concerns from either individual, their relatives, or staff to the
    • management team.
    • Report any concerns about health and safety to the office immediately
