Simon Supported his Staff During Lockdown

23rd August, 2021 Read time: Two minutes

Lots has changed over the last year, and in many ways it's shaped us and helped us to grow. Getting through is an achievement in itself!

You might’ve spent time reflecting on your skills or exploring new interests. Not all skills are learnt through work, experience and formal education – life gives us plenty to work with, too.

At Futures, we see skills in everyone and love to help people develop theirs.

Take a look at Simon. When lockdown life started, he reduced his stress levels by getting green fingers. Before long, his begonias were blooming!

The pandemic meant that Simon’s small business hit upon some hard times, and a significant downturn in revenue meant that he had to get to grips with the government’s furlough scheme and make some unfortunate redundancies amongst his staff.

Simon wanted the process to be as easy and stress-free as possible for his staff, but instead of getting them into gardening, he got in touch with Futures to find out more about our redundancy support packages. We worked with Simon to deliver a bespoke redundancy workshop to his team, alongside one-to-one support, giving them the confidence they needed to secure their next job.

He’s still Simon, but this year he's shown his staff he's so much more.

If you’re like Simon and your business has been affected by redundancy, that’s where we come in. Whether you’re a large or small business needing supportget in touch with us today. We’re here to help, in fact, we’d love to!
