Nottingham Works Programme
Intensive Careers Support is an activity in the City Council’s Nottingham Works programme.
Intensive Careers Support is designed to provide advice and mentoring from dedicated Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Youth Support (NNYS) advisers and support 16-18 year-olds move on from school. The project will provide continuing support with post-16 providers and employers to help them stay in employment.
Eligible young people can access a dedicated mentor/adviser to provide one to one support and advice to secure and remain in education or training. Those who are eligible may also be able to set up a hardship fund to contribute to initial transport, IT equipment and childcare costs of where these are creating barriers to participation and retention in education or training programmes.
If you are interested in finding out more about the programme or wish to request support for a young person, get in touch.
The Nottingham Works Programme is part-financed by Nottingham City Council and the European Union through the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Youth Employment Initiative Programme (YEI).
