It’s National Apprenticeship week and we’re celebrating all things ‘Skills for Life’!
At Futures, we are huge advocates for learning, developing and building a career, that’s why we’re here to tell you all benefits of completing an apprenticeship and how it could be the perfect next step for your career.
For Everyone and Anyone
Apprenticeship can be completed by anyone aged 16 years or older, so no matter where you are in life, you’re age or career prospects, there’s no age limit on learning something new.
There’s also no limit on experience and expertise, apprenticeships can be completed at various levels, form entry level 1 to degree level. Giving you the opportunity to learn new skills, earn a wage and progress within your career.
Apprenticeships can be incredibly accessible too! Funding from the government allows training provider and employers to offer specialist support for apprentices with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Earning and learning
We’ve probably all had enough hearing about the rising cost of living – but it’s our mission to find ways to help you during difficult times.
Apprenticeships are a great way to gain a qualification and a wage whilst not having to pay a penny for your education. University is expensive and it’s not always the right path for everyone but with an apprenticeship, your employer or the government will fund your qualification – meaning you get paid to learn.
Did you know, you will take 20% of your time off work so you can study? – this works out to one day a week!
Onwards and upwards
Like we’ve said, completing an apprenticeship is great and the opportunities that follow are even better. Studying whilst putting what you’ve learnt into practice is an admirable quality to employers, giving you the edge over other candidates. This gives you a head-start in securing your dream job.
