
Leadership Short Courses
Level 2 leadership qualifications.
With Futures you can now complete a fully-funded qualification in Team Leading or Management from the comfort of your home and at your own pace.
These courses are suitable for those already in employment and will fit flexibily around your schedule.
When studying full time these courses can be completed in as little as:
- Level 2 Team Leading - 8 - 12 weeks
- Level 2 Lean Management - 8 - 12 weeks
However, there is no upper limit and we understand that often study must fit round your exisiting work and home life schedule.

Eligibility Criteria
To gain access to our adult courses, you must meet the following criteria:
- Are aged 19 years old or over (must have turned 19 by 31st August 2021)
- Have lived in the UK or a European Economic Area (EEA) Member state for the last three years or more or be an Individual or Asylum Seeker with certain types of immigration status*
- Are actively seeking employment and claiming an unemployment benefit of either: Universal Credit, Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance (WRAG) **
- OR must be earning under £18,525 annual gross salary and be able to commit to the course. Please be aware that for Maths and English you can earn any amount if you can commit to the course.

Level 2 Principles of Team Leading
Gaining a Level 2 certificate in Principles of Team Leading will help to develop your understanding of what it takes to be a successful team leader and improve your practical skills when it comes to putting that knowledge into practice.
If you’re a Team Leader looking to build on your skills or someone hoping to progress into a leadership role, this qualification is the best place to start.
What will the course cover?
The qualification is made up of eight units, featuring:
- Principles of Team Leading
- How to Manage Performance and Conflict in the Workplace
- Principles of Equality and Diversity in the Workplace
- Developing Working Relationships with Colleagues

Knowing how to improve productivity and efficiency in the workplace is a vital skill in a manager’s toolkit.
This course is designed to give you a detailed understanding of the lean management system, as well as giving you practical advice on how to implement effective business improvement techniques in your workplace.

- Lean organisation techniques in business
- Business improvement techniques
- Effective teamwork in business
