Improving Access to Psychological Therapies
Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) is an NHS service established in 2008 which has transformed the treatment of adult anxiety and depression in England.
Together with Insight Healthcare, Futures work across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to support people with mental health needs who are accessing talking therapies.
Our job is to offer support to those who are experiencing employment-related difficulties, and since 2018 we’ve helped over 650 people across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Our team of dedicated careers advisers work directly with Insight Healthcare, to allow them to provide as much support as they can to those who are concerned about their career options, at such a difficult time in their lives. From those signed off sick, unhappy in their current role, those who are unemployed or people who may be struggling with workplace bullying.
Sessions are completely confidential. Your adviser and
therapist don’t confer, and your GP won’t be informed either.
Paul is just one of our incredible advisers who works with Insight to offer careers support. As you can see from this video, it doesn't have to be a new job or career, it can be working the person and their employer to make reasonable changes to the work environment that means going into work feels less daunting.
