Futures set to deliver Well for Work, a comprehensive employment support initiative across the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire region

Well for Work is a new ESF funded programme run by Futures and partners which aims to support lone parents, those with disabilities or health problems, people from ethnic minorities, people over 50 and those who lack basic skills, to get into work and stay in work.

The aim is simple, when it comes to work, individuals that are facing barriers, whether it’s mental health or financial struggles, special educational needs or disabilities, substance misuse or are perhaps without English as a first language, will be provided with the personalised help they need to feel confident and supported for life.

Working alongside local businesses, Futures will offer bespoke training to ensure people who are work-ready have the right skills for the job, and beyond. For those who aren’t ready to jump straight into work, individual support will be offered to develop confidence, skills and the ability to enter employment.

Working alongside a range of specialist partners, Well for Work can offer support around housing needs, specialist disability advice, debt and welfare advice. People will be supported in being and feeling the best version of themselves.

Partners include, Nottinghamshire County Council, Derbyshire County Council, Broxtowe Borough Council, Gedling Borough Council, Framework, Autism East Midlands, Double Impact, St Ann’s Advice Centre, Inspirative Arts

‘We are thrilled to have the opportunity to deliver Well for Work, says Futures CEO Paul Price-Hazlehurst ‘it will provide us with the capacity to provide a brighter future for those in need, at what can only be described as a tough time for many’

Futures continue to deliver a wide range of careers related support throughout centres across the UK.
