Futures are proud to be one of three local providers supporting the new Youth Employment Hub in Leicester.

The hub has now opened in the former Leicester Tourist Information Centre, in Gallowtree Gate!!

The hub offers tailored support and opportunities to help young people take the next step in jobs, education and training – including apprenticeships, training schemes and college courses.

Council leaders say the project will make a "real and long-lasting difference to the lives of young people" in Leicester.

Aimed at 16-25-year-olds, the Youth Employment Hub focuses on finding opportunities for those young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). This is particularly timely, given the huge impact the Coronavirus Pandemic has had on young people.

Nationally, youth unemployment stands at 9%, with Leicester’s rate at 6.9%, according to Cllr. Elly Cutkelvin, assistant city mayor for education. Futures has an impressive track record of providing opportunities and support for young people and is committed to reducing that figure and supporting Leicester City Council in enacting the Economic Action Plan.

Futures' CEO, Paul Price-Hazlehurst, said;

“Futures are delighted to be working in partnership with Leicester City Council as part of the new Youth Employment Hub in Leicester. The project will offer 'tailored support and opportunities' for the city's youth during these difficult times and be vital in driving demand for a skilled workforce, so that local opportunities of all kinds are available for young people.”
