Futures traders today are presented with a truly dizzying number of choices - plus, futures trading has become global! For over 27 years, John Simes of Global Futures has focused on finding answers to the very challenging questions facing traders today, such as:

  • What will a volatile US dollar, soaring deficits, and world turmoil do to my investments?

  • Will gold prices continue to advance? Has a long term bull market started?

  • How can I engage in commodity futures trading and attempt to manage the risk of loss that is always present?

  • Are food and grains a speculative investment of choice right now?

  • How can commercial producers and users effectively hedge against the risk caused by volatile commodity futures market swings?

John Simes originally graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) and subsequently spent 7 years in the Private Practice of Law in Ontario, Canada, prior to joining the Futures Industry. For 17 years, he was employed at Merrill Lynch, where he attained the rank of Vice President and Associate Resident Futures Manager (Southeastern Division). Information is intended solely for informational purposes and is obtained from sources believed to be reliable. Information is in no way guaranteed. Past performance is no indication of future results. Futures and options trading always involves substantial risk of loss. Clients may lose more than their initial investment. Commodity futures trading is not for everyone so that it makes sense to investigate thoroughly the risks involved and to tap into the brain trust of an experienced futures trading firm and search for experienced commodity futures broker before you decide whether trading is suitable for you in light of your financial circumstances. In the case of individual speculators, only risk capital should be used.
